CADBURY RECALL
Cadbury has issued a recall of it's Chinese made products today after claims by the Indonesian of the chemical melamine were present. The Cadbury Recall is for eleven of their chocolate bars, which affect Hong Kong, Taiwan and Australia. Cadbury is the latest of companies caught up in the Chinese milk scandal. Last week it was Kraft Foods, concerned over it's Oreo products, which contained milk powder from China. The milk scandal started with the discovery of melamine in baby milk powder, which has led to 4 deaths and over 54,000 children have developed either kidney stones or other illnesses. The Chinese government is speculating that suppliera may have added the nitrogen-rich melamine to foil tests of watered down milk. The Cadbury Recall is an unfortunate blow to the company, caught in the wake of the Chinese milk scandal.
